About Our LS/LT Front Drive Systems

LS and LT front drive systems, also known as front engine accessory drive (FEAD) systems, are responsible for driving key engine accessories using a belt-driven pulley system. These systems transfer power from the crankshaft to components such as the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C compressor, ensuring proper engine operation and system functionality.

Upgrading to a complete front drive system offers several advantages, including improved packaging, cleaner engine bay appearance, and optimized accessory alignment. Modern LS and LT accessory drive kits are designed with compact layouts that simplify installation, especially in engine swap applications where space and clearance are critical.

Performance front drive systems often feature precision-machined brackets, high-quality pulleys, and optimized belt routing to improve reliability and reduce component wear. These systems are engineered to provide consistent accessory speeds, reduce parasitic drag, and support stable operation under demanding conditions.

Common applications include LS-based engines such as LS1, LS2, LS3, and LS7, as well as newer LT platforms. Whether you're completing an LS swap or upgrading your current setup, a high-quality front drive system helps ensure proper accessory operation, improved reliability, and a clean, professional engine bay layout.
