Q&A

What engines is this intake manifold compatible with?
This intake manifold is designed for Mopar Big Block "RB" V8 applications, including 383 in3, 413 in3, 426 in3, 440 in3.

Will this intake fit a 413, 426, or 440 Mopar big block?
Yes, this intake is designed for Mopar RB-series big block engines including 413, 426, and 440 applications.

What type of carburetor does this intake support?
This intake uses a 4150 square bore carburetor flange and is built for single 4-barrel carbureted applications.

What RPM range is this intake designed for?
This dual plane intake is designed to perform from 1,500-6,500 RPM, making it a strong choice for performance street and street/strip use.

What kind of performance gains can I expect?
This intake is designed to improve airflow efficiency, throttle response, and torque over a broad operating range compared to a stock-style intake manifold.

Is this intake better for street or race use?
This intake is best suited for street performance and mild street/strip applications where drivability and broad usable power are important.

What type of intake manifold is this?
This is a dual plane aluminum intake manifold, built to improve low-end and mid-range performance while maintaining good drivability.

Will this intake clear a stock hood?
It features a relatively low-profile design to help with hood clearance, with a front height of 4.900 in., center height of 5.350 in., rear height of 5.800 in..

What material is this intake made from?
It is cast from lightweight aluminum, which helps reduce weight and improve heat dissipation.

Is this a direct bolt-on intake manifold?
In most cases, this intake is designed as a direct-fit manifold for compatible Mopar Big Block "RB" V8 applications, though proper gaskets, carburetor setup, and supporting components are still recommended during installation.

Are there any fitment limitations I should know about?
Yes, this intake is for RB-series big block engines and will not fit a 383 "B" engine.

Will this intake improve throttle response on my Mopar Big Block "RB"?
Yes, the manifold design helps improve airflow and mixture distribution, which can translate to better throttle response and more consistent power delivery.

Is this a good upgrade from a stock intake?
Yes, this intake is a solid upgrade for compatible Mopar Big Block "RB" V8 builds that need improved airflow, better drivability, and stronger performance across the usable RPM range.

Does the polished finish affect performance?
No, the polished finish is cosmetic and does not change performance—it gives the intake a bright, show-quality appearance.

How do I maintain the polished finish?
Regular cleaning and occasional polishing will help maintain the shine and reduce surface oxidation over time.
